The Conquil

Just 20 kilometres from Sarlat, between the caves of Lascaux and Les Eyzies, you will find the prehistoric park of Le Conquil, an unusual troglodytic site which has been converted into a family leisure park. Classified as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, Le Conquil is a 12-hectare estate along an incredible cliff.

La Conquil is first and foremost a place for learning through an instructive journey back in time to the age of the dinosaurs. During this walk, you can observe reconstructions of these prehistoric giants.

The visit continues in the natural troglodytic habitats where you can observe the marks of man’s presence. There are also activities proposed around the history of this site occupied by man since the dawn of time such as having a go at cave paintings or creating prehistoric jewellery.

The park also has a tree climbing adventure park for the whole family, offering an thrilling view of this magical place: zip lines, monkey bridges and footbridges lead the visitors through the oak and boxwood forest.
